The Anchar series of Vostok Europe watches was designed with the needs of deep divers in mind. Thus, every smallest detail in the Anchar models is well thought-out and intended to fit all the requirements of the ISO 2281 standard for diver watches.
The name of this watch series is derived from the K-162 Anchar submarine, which is known as the fastest submarine in the world. K-162 Anchar is capable of moving underwater at a speed of 82.8 km/h, which is a remarkable achievement that has its place in the Guinness book of records. What’s more, the submarine has been able to hold the record for over 50 years - it still hasn’t been beaten! As you can see, it is a worthy machine for you to celebrate with a Vostok Europe diver series watch on your wrist.
The Anchar watches were tested by a NATO navy SEALs unit, as well as by the Greek Underwater Archaeology Institute researchers who used them for underwater excavation of a ship. All models passed the tests successfully and proved to be reliable even in extreme underwater conditions. You can buy Vostok Europe Anchar of different colors and variations.
All Vostok Europe Anchar series watches make use of the Tritium Illumination technology, which allows the watch complications to be continuously illuminated. This effect is achieved by installing small containers filled up with tritium on watch numbers and hands.
The construction of the Anchar watches allows them to remain waterproof at depths of up to 300m (30 ATM). There is even a special bezel that you can use to activate the stopwatch function. The watch bodies are made from stainless steel and covered with PVD for improved durability and aesthetic reasons. The watch body measures 48mm in diameter and is protected by heavy-duty anti-glare glass disk. Depending on the model you buy, your watch will come equipped with a corresponding strap, two screwdrivers to for strap replacement, and a special carrying box that’s water-resistant and shockproof.
